SCHOLARSHIP
Every year, Women Lawyers of Long Beach sponsors a scholarship competition, which is open to any current law student. Submissions are reviewed by the Women Lawyers of Long Beach board members who will select the winner of the $2,000.00 scholarship.
This year's writing prompt is:
Prompt: When there are nine…as of today, we have had a total of five women grace the United States Supreme Court bench. It could be said that we are more than halfway to Justice Ginsburg’s idea of “enough” women on the bench. In what ways have women shaped the landscape of the legal profession? As a future attorney, how will you continue to shape that landscape?
Rules:
- Word count should be no less than 2,500 words and no greater than 4,000 words.
- Your essay must include your name, law school, and anticipated year of graduation.
- All essays must be submitted no later than March 1, 2022, at 5:00 p.m.

Winner will be notified via email no later than April 1, 2022. The scholarship will be awarded at our annual installation dinner on April 11, 2022.
